iPhone Not Connected To iTunes

iTunes is used by the owners of iPhones, iPads, iPods in order to manage the contents on their devices. But it happens more often when users try to connect their devices to the iTunes especially iPhones and their iphone not connected to itunes. This may happen due to a variety of underlying reasons. If you are experiencing the same issue, here are some fixes for that:

Check the connection of cable at both ends:

Before proceeding into any further investigation you should check the connection between the devices at both ends (at phone and the pc). It happens many times when we don’t pay much attention to the connection of the cable which is the most basic error anyone can make. And if possible you should try using the authentic cable provided by the Apple.

Try using good speed internet connection:

You should have proper internet connection before using the iPhone as it will make this task even easier.

Use latest version of OS:

There are many times when your pc is not detecting your iPhone in that case the iTunes is not connected to the iPhone. If you don’t have an OS compatible to your iTunes, this may be an issue behind such problem. Try to update the OS to its latest version.

Select on Trust when asked about it by your iPhone:

If you are asked via a message to trust this computer, click on the option saying Trust.

Check the version of Apple USB driver:

If you are not able to connect your iPhone after trying all the things mentioned above, it is time for you check whether you have installed Apple USB driver and if you have already installed it you should check whether you are using the latest version of it or not. Try updating your Apple USB driver to the latest version available. You can update the Apple USB driver available on your pc by these steps:

  1. Reconnect your iPhone to the PC and close the iTunes if it opens.
  2. Right Click on the Window Start Symbol and click on Device Manager.
  3. Once the Device Manager has opened, click on the option Portable Devices.
  4. Find the option showing your connected iPhone and right click on it and select Update.

Disable Content and Privacy Restrictions:

There are many times when your iPhone is connected to the iTunes but you are unable to sync data. This may be happening when the Contents and Privacy Restrictions are enabled on your iPhone. You should disable it by going to the settings then clicking on Screen Time where you will find the option saying Contents and Privacy Restrictions.

If your pc is not detecting your iPhone but others pc’s can detect your iPhone:

If you find that your pc is unable to detect your iPhone but other pc’s can detect it then you should try to reinstall all the Apple related softwares available on your pc. It will fix the issue.

Reinstall iTunes on your device:

If any of the above solutions don’t work for you, try reinstalling iTunes on your device. Doing so will solve all these issues because it is going to delete all the previous data available on your device. Reinstalling the iTunes will set everything to default.
